CADS Cold Lake
Welcome to CADS Cold Lake!
Canadian Adaptive Snowsports Cold Lake is an affiliate zone of CADS Alberta, a provincial division of the Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (CADS). We are a volunteer-based sport organization that provides all Albertans recreational and competitive adaptive snowsport opportunities through a safe, inclusive learning and training environment; supported by strong leadership, advocacy and partnerships.
With over 1,100 participant and volunteer members, CADS Alberta is focused on the delivery of programs that encourage the adaptive community to come and try alpine skiing and/or snowboarding, with a goal to creating a fun, educational and social experience while engaging in physical activity in Alberta's winter months.
CADS Cold Lake is Seeking Volunteers of all abilities!
We are seeking volunteers that are interested in assisting us in making snowsports accessible to people of all abilities! Do you have knowledge and abilities that you believe you can share with us and our participants? There are no requirements of having experience working with people who have disabilities.
We are seeking volunteers for indoor activities such as: administrative tasks, assisting individuals with equipment, assisting in the rental area, with giving tickets out, etc.
For outdoor volunteers, we are seeking assistance with equipment, outfitting and adjusting equipment, ski and snowboard instructing, chairlift loading, assistance with fun games, etc.
Are you still unsure about volunteering or how you can be supported when you are volunteering? Mentorship opportunities are available. You may be paired up with a returning CADS volunteer who can assist with various questions ranging from the ski/snowboard area to the equipment used.
